Dutch household chain Blokker has announced it wants to return to the Dutch shopping streets, aiming to open 37 shops before the end of this year. The relaunch under its former CEO Roland Palmer is becoming more concrete.
Major ambitions
After going bankrupt in November 2024 and closing all of its stores, Palmer took over the chain’s intellectual rights. Several Dutch media are now reporting that Blokker is aiming to open 37 stores, on top of 39 franchised stores. The return to Dutch high streets would likely already begin this summer. Former customers have apparently received an email informing them that a new company, named Blokker New B.V., is taking over the management of the personal data.
