Eva Faict, Amazon

Eva Faict, Amazon‘s country manager for Belgium and the Netherlands, who recently announced her departure, has already landed a new challenge: she will be strengthening the international operations at the Dutch online grocery store Picnic.

Starting December 1

Earlier this month, Eva Faict announced on her LinkedIn account that she would be leaving Amazon after eleven years to take on a new challenge. At the time, she referred to it as “a fantastic opportunity,” without specifying exactly what she would be doing. In the meantime, more details have emerged: Faict will start working for Picnic on December 1. Picnic is a Dutch online supermarket that also operates in Germany and France. A Picnic spokesperson confirmed this to RetailTrends.

Faict played a key role in Amazon’s expansion in the Benelux region: four years ago, she helped launch Amazon.com.be, and subsequently took charge of the American company’s Dutch operations. Amazon has not yet announced who will succeed her.
