Steve Cahillane, the man who spun off Kellanova from Kellogg, will become CEO of the global sauces division of food giant Kraft Heinz, which will split into two independent, publicly traded entities next year.
Important phase
In September, Kraft Heinz confirmed that it would split into two separate companies: an American grocery division with brands such as Oscar Mayer, Kraft, and Lunchables, and a global sauces division with Heinz as its flagship. The latter division, provisionally named Global Taste Elevation Co., will be led from next year by Cahillane, who previously held executive positions at The Coca-Cola Company and AB InBev and who also shaped the split between Kellogg and Kellanova as CEO in 2022.
Cahillane’s appointment marks an important phase for Kraft Heinz, which is preparing for a historic split. The board of directors is now also launching a global search for a new CEO for the American grocery division, which has been given the working name North American Grocery Co.
