Carrefour Belgium reports revenue growth and market share gains

Carrefour Belgium closed out the third quarter with like-for-like sales growth of 2.3%. This was accompanied by a 0.2 percentage point increase in market share and a further rise in customer satisfaction, the retailer reports.

Six quarters of growth

This marks the sixth consecutive quarter of growth for Carrefour Belgium, driven by strong commercial momentum, promotions aimed at boosting purchasing power, Sunday openings, and favorable weather conditions—all against a backdrop of persistently fierce competition and a challenging economic climate.

According to the company, the quarterly performance reflects the progress of its strategy and extensive operational optimizations. For example, Carrefour Belgium continues to focus on rolling out its revamped store concepts for Market and Express, combined with a strengthened focus on competitive pricing, targeted promotions, and the loyalty program. At the same time, the simplification of internal work processes and strict control of distribution costs ensure the necessary operational efficiency.

“With these solid foundations, Carrefour Belgium is approaching the crucial year-end period with confidence and the necessary agility, despite a macroeconomic climate that remains under significant pressure,” the press release concludes.
