Zalando teams up with fashion blog Highsnobiety

Highsnobiety

Zalando invests in storytelling: the German fashion platform has taken a majority stake in Highsnobiety, a fashion blog about streetwear that also has its own webshop.

Growing market segments

Content is king in e-commerce, and Zalando too is now on board: the online platform is taking a majority stake in media platform Highsnobiety, specialised in the field of streetwear and luxury fashion. Both companies will work closely together: the combination of the narrative power of Highsnobiety with the operational expertise of Zalando should result in a strong combination.

With strategic and creative advice from Highsnobiety, Zalando wants to offer young fashion lovers more inspiration on its platform. Luxury and streetwear are growing segments, in which the German fashion platform wants to gain a stronger position.

Both companies will continue to function autonomously: Highsnobiety retains editorial independence and David Fischer, who founded the blog in 2005, remains on board as CEO.
