Adidas is racking up record after record. The German sports giant has seen its quarterly profit soar by 37% and has significantly raised its full-year forecast. Apparel and its own sales channels, in particular, are running at full speed. A notable exception: Europe, where sales are declining.
Apparel is driving the growth
The sporting goods manufacturer posted record revenue of 7.3 billion euros in the third quarter, a 9% increase. Operating profit soared by as much as 37% to over 1 billion euros. The profit margin widened to 13.9%, while net profit rose by 48% to 711 million euros.
