The Japanese sports group Asics is reaping the full benefits of the shift in the sports market, where smaller brands are taking market share away from giants like Nike and Adidas. Following a record half-year, Asics is raising its forecasts for 2026 and, for the first time, is aiming for revenue of more than 1 trillion yen (5.63 billion euros).
Nearly a trillion yen
Asics had previously projected revenue of 950 billion yen (5.35 billion euros). The Japanese company now also expects an operating profit of 195 billion yen (1 billion euros) and a net profit of 120 billion yen (643 million euros). This would mark the first time the group has surpassed the 100 billion yen (536 million euros) net profit threshold.
