DIY/Garden7 January, 2020

British DIY group Kingfisher has appointed Jean-Jacques Van Oosten as its new Chief Customer & Digital Officer. The Belgian had already been Group IT Director at Kingfisher between 2005 and 2008, before finding his way to several other big names in retail.

Return

Van Oosten returns to the British home improvement group, which owns chains like B&Q and Screwfix, after serving at C-level at major retailers like Rewe and Tesco. His previous job was at Danish toy icon Lego.

“JJ is an experienced digital leader with a track record of driving change in international companies. He has a key role to play at Kingfisher as we look to accelerate our digital and data capabilities and grow ecommerce sales”, CEO Thierry Garnier says in a press release.
