Intergamma appoints new CFO and COO

DIY/Garden29 August, 2018

Intergamma, the Benelux DIY group owning chains Gamma and Karwei, has appointed a new CFO (Marcello Iacono) and COO (Frans Hartong) to complete its new board of directors. CEO Harm-Jan Stoter is the only one to stay on.

Make-over for board

Iacono becomes Intergamma’s financial director on 1 September, after holding that same position at parking manager Q-Park and Dutch supermarket chain Plus. He will lead the company’s financial and logistical branches. After studying economics in Groningen, he started his career at KPMG.

One month later, on 1 October, Hartong will start as operational director at the DIY franchise organisation. Currently managing director at Van Neerbos Group, he will have the operational lead over both own stores and franchisers and for Intergamma’s real estate. Van Neerbos used to be Intergamma’s largest franchiser, but was recently acquired by Intergamma.

With these two new positions filled and Sebastiaan de Jong entering as commercial director, Intergamma’s board of directors is complete again – keeping only CEO Ham-Jan Stoter from the previous board.
