Following last week’s cyber incident, the websites and apps of the Ahold Delhaize Group’s U.S. supermarket chains are once again operational.
Taken offline as a precaution
Just like the websites of Albert Heijn, Etos, and Gall&Gall, those of the U.S. chains Food Lion, Giant Food, Hannaford, and Stop&Shop were also taken offline last week as a precaution following a major cyber incident, which has since been determined to have been caused by malicious intent. They are now accessible again. The U.S. operations account for about 60% of the Ahold Delhaize Group’s revenue.
In the Netherlands, Albert Heijn’s website and app are back online, and home delivery is expected to resume starting Friday, October 23. The websites of Etos and Gall & Gall are also available again. In Belgium, the website remained available throughout, and e-commerce is now fully operational again. The websites and apps in the Central and Southeastern Europe region are also working again.
