Albert Heijn ’s app and website are back online, and e-commerce will resume on Friday. At Delhaize, e-commerce is fully operational. However, Ahold Delhaize ’s U.S. websites are still down due to the cyber incident.
Deliveries starting Friday
On Sunday, Albert Heijn brought its website and app back online. Most features have been restored, such as the Bonus offers and the 10% discount on organic and AH Terra products for AH Premium customers, the retailer reported in an update. E-commerce operations will also resume shortly: delivery drivers will gradually return to the roads starting Friday. However, all groceries ordered online through Thursday, October 22, have been canceled. It is also not yet possible to place new orders.
At Delhaize, the website was never offline, and e-commerce operations are now fully operational again. However, E-Deals and personalized offers for Superplus members are not yet available. Stores at both Delhaize and Albert Heijn are well-stocked.
In the U.S., the websites of Ahold Delhaize’s subsidiary chains, such as Hannaford, Food Lion, and Stop&Shop, are still not live. It is unclear when they will be restored. The retailer has also not yet provided further clarification regarding the cause of the IT issues, which arose a week ago on Sunday. Many experts suspect a hack. Importantly, according to the company, no personal data has been leaked.
