Chocolate manufacturer Lindt & Sprüngli is replacing CEO Adalbert Lechner after the company was forced to lower its growth forecasts twice this year. Former CEO Dieter Weisskopf is temporarily taking the helm again and has been tasked with restoring profitability and growth.
New leadership needed
Lechner is leaving after 33 years with the Swiss chocolate maker, including four years as CEO. According to the board of directors, Lindt & Sprüngli “needs new operational leadership to return to consistent, strong growth and to capitalize on opportunities in all its markets worldwide.”
