Not in Hasselt, as previously announced, but in Diest, the Dutch women’s fashion chain Norah will open its first Belgian store later this year. “Sometimes things move faster than you’d imagined,” says CEO Han Sterk.
A new chapter
In August, CEO Sterk announced that Norah would make a comeback in Flanders shortly after closing its stores in Turnhout and Geel, with stores in better locations. The first store was set to open in early 2027 at Koning Albertstraat 60 in Hasselt, in the former Casa building, near Inno and Hema, the CEO reported at the time on LinkedIn.
On that same platform, he has now posted a surprising update: Norah will actually open in Diest before the end of this year. “At 17 Botermarkt, in the former s.Oliver building, we’ll be opening our doors even before Hasselt.” The 350 m² space will be designed according to the latest store concept.
Opening the first store in a new country means starting a new chapter, Sterk writes. “And soon we’ll see how Belgian women, too, find their favorite outfits at Norah. I think it’s fantastic that we can take that step already this year—with the city of Diest as our first destination and Hasselt on the horizon.”
