At Hornbach, both revenue and profit rose sharply in the past quarter. The home improvement group is growing significantly faster than the DIY market, but despite this strong performance, it is sticking to its full-year forecast.

Robust demand

Hornbach Holding’s revenue rose by 7.3% to 1.81 billion euros between June and the end of August. Adjusted operating profit (EBIT) rose even more sharply: by 12.8% to 124.6 million euros. According to Hornbach, the group benefited from “robust customer demand” and an average of 1.3 additional sales days compared to the same quarter last year.
