Carlsberg raises its profit forecast despite a disappointing first half of the year. The Danish brewer is seeing synergies from the acquisition of soft drink maker Britvic take effect faster than expected. Fortunately, because beer sales declined.
Britvic is delivering results faster
The world’s third-largest brewer is raising its full-year profit forecast: despite a disappointing first half, the company now expects organic growth in operating profit of between 4% and 6%, up from a previous forecast of 2% to 6%. The acquisition of the British company Britvic, which Carlsberg completed in early 2025 as part of its strategic shift toward soft drinks, is delivering synergies faster than anticipated.
