Although the Bijenkorf online store is open as usual, customers are still experiencing delays following the cyberattack on logistics provider Ceva Logistics: anyone who places an order now will not receive their products until September 4.
No orders canceled
De Bijenkorf had already reported last week that the cyberattack on its logistics partner Ceva could cause delays in orders, returns, and refunds. The extent of the impact is now becoming clearer.
The online store is open and customers can place orders as usual, the retailer states on its website: “We have not canceled any orders at this time in connection with this incident.” However, delivery times are longer than customers are accustomed to.
“We’re doing our best to ship your order as quickly as possible. The most up-to-date estimated delivery times can be found on the product pages on our website and also apply to orders placed recently,” the statement reads. Anyone visiting the online store will see that orders placed today won’t be delivered until Friday, September 4.
Bol and Ace & Tate, among others, have also been affected by the hack on Ceva. However, their online stores make no mention of delivery delays.
