Only a few days after the announcement CEO Roel van Neerbos would leave the Dutch Maxeda DIY Group‘s new CEO, it is revealed that group director Roy van Keulen will leave the group as well.

Personal reasons

In a press release, Maxeda said Van Keulen will depart the company because of personal reasons and that the company will look into a solution in the next few weeks. Van Keulen will remain available, to help facilitate the transition.

The news broke a mere two days after it was announced that French Guy Colleau would take over as Maxeda CEO on 1 May. He will succeed Roel van Neerbos, who had been CEO since January 2014. Colleau has plenty of retail experience in a range of senior positions, particularly in the DIY industry. He worked for Materiaux Service, Leroy Merlin and Castorama France, where he was the CEO from 2003 until 2013. After that, he also worked for Kingfisher Group.
