Teen brand Hollister delivers record sales for Abercrombie & Fitch

For eleven consecutive quarters, American fashion group Abercrombie & Fitch has been able to boast rising sales figures. The main driver of this growth is the Hollister brand, which appeals to young target groups.

Despite price increases

Abercrombie & Fitch has once again achieved higher-than-expected sales: in the second quarter, sales rose 7% to a record figure of 1.2 billion US dollars (approximately 1 billion euros). The most important market remains the Americas, where sales rose 8% to 974.2 million dollars (870 million euros). The Asia-Pacific region showed significant growth of 12% to 37.2 million dollars (approximately 34 million euros).

Teen brand Hollister remains an important driver of sales growth. In the past three months, the brand’s sales rose by 19% to 656.7 million dollars (approximately 600 million euros). Price increases do not seem to be slowing down demand for trendy fashion. The Abercrombie brand, on the other hand, recorded a 5% decline to 551.9 million dollars (500 million euros).

The company is raising its full-year sales expectations, despite the expected impact of higher import tariffs on countries such as Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia and India.
