Logistics platform Vinted Go launches in Europe

Fashion13 July, 2022

Vinted Go, second-hand marketplace Vinted‘s own delivery platform, is taking shape: retailers in various European countries can register and have their goods delivered to collection points.

Simplifying transport

Vinted had already announced its B2B delivery platform Vinted Go, but now it is becoming a reality: the second-hand marketplace wants to deliver for other retailers and brands in the Benelux, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom.

Deliveries are made to a European network of PUDO points (pick-up and delivery points), which will mainly consist of lockers. Eventually, there should be a network of carriers and 220,000 pick-up points in fourteen countries.

The idea is that external parties can easily ‘plug in’ to Vinted’s network of logistics partners, both in terms of IT infrastructure and operations, so that retailers no longer have to make individual agreements with carriers. Instead, Vinted Go takes care of everything for them.

Not the fastest

However, this is not the fastest delivery option: the shipping service supports a standard delivery time of up to three working days for local delivery, and up to five working days for international delivery. Packages can be small or medium in size.

Vinted says that it currently handles around 200 million parcels a year, spread across several transport service providers, and that it now wants to connect this fragmented shipping infrastructure. Indeed, consumers who buy through Vinted can already choose from several delivery options and companies, from Homerr to Mondial Relay.

How AO76 aims to put children’s clothing with family values back on the map

Just like the clothing, the business at AO76 is passed down from generation to generation. Today, 32-year-old Gaspard Poelman is at the helm of the brand that was known as “American Outfitters” until 2017 (and still is, to some extent). He’s bringing a breath of fresh air, but he’s also...
