Swiss Sense nurtures European ambitions with digital brand Kameo

The Dutch bedding chain Swiss Sense is targeting the international e-commerce market with its new brand Kameo Sleep. After a promising start in the Netherlands, the retailer wants to expand quickly to other European markets.

Response to “pure players”

After a soft launch in November, the KameoSleep.nl online store already has hundreds of new customers and an average customer rating of 9.4, Swiss Sense reports in a press release. Kameo was launched in response to international “pure players” and combines a data-driven “digital-first” approach with over 100 years of manufacturing experience from its parent company. The brand operates independently as a digital label, but the products can also be experienced and ordered in Swiss Sense stores. In this way, Kameo combines the speed of online shopping with the trust of offline advice.

The new brand stands out with modular, technologically advanced sleep solutions such as the adjustable Kameo Flex mattress and the Kameo Flex Pillow. “Kameo was created from the belief that online convenience should not come at the expense of a good night’s sleep,” says Steinar Breeschoten, founder of Kameo Sleep. “We combine top-quality materials with maximum customer focus. Thanks to Swiss Sense, we offer service levels that are difficult for start-ups: a 10-year warranty and a 100-day ‘money-back guarantee’.” Thanks to this hybrid strategy, Kameo is ready to quickly conquer other countries after the Netherlands, says Martin Diks, CEO of Swiss Sense. The retailer has more than 120 stores in the Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, and Austria.
