Just a few months after Maisons du Monde’s financial rescue, CEO François-Melchior de Polignac is set to step down and be replaced by John Browett. The French home furnishings chain is also bringing in retail expert Marc Ténart to accelerate its recovery.
New leadership to turn the tide
Maisons du Monde is making changes at the top following an exceptionally difficult third quarter. François-Melchior de Polignac, who had been at the helm since March 2023, left the company on October 26. John Browett, the current chairman of the board of directors, will also temporarily take over day-to-day management starting October 27. Meanwhile, the board of directors is searching for a permanent successor.
