Danish chain Jysk continues to grow spectacularly: last financial year, sales rose 7.6 % to 5.6 billion euros. For 2025, the chain also plans to expand into Morocco.
Morocco market number 49
With a 7.6 % increase in sales to 41.4 billion Danish crowns, the chain is doing even better than last financial year’s + 6.3 % (although it could not repeat 2022’s + 11 %). The chain enticed almost twelve million new customers and sold 11 % more products, it proudly reports in a press release.
However, Jysk does not want to stop there: currently, the Danish chain has over 3,400 shops in 48 countries, but the long-term goal is to reach 5,000 shops. To supply these, Jysk is currently building two brand new distribution centres: in Lelystad, the Netherlands and in Almenara, Spain. The latter will also be used when Jysk opens its first store in its 49th market, Morocco, early next year.
