Dutch chain Dille & Kamille has opened a shop in the centre of Nantes, its first shop in France. The retailer is testing its potential in the French market in cooperation with local franchise partners.
No direct competitors
Dille & Kamille’s first French store is located on rue Boileau and measres 180 sqm. The store opening is another milestone for the retailer: “Nantes, with its sustainable character and creative energy, fits our vision perfectly. We can’t wait to inspire our French customers with timeless products for home, garden and kitchen”, the family business posted on its LinkedIn and Facebook pages. Its unique positioning leads the chain to claim that it has no direct competitors in France.
Dille & Kamille is embarking on this adventure with Cécile and Timothée Libersart, a French couple seduced by the brand during a trip to the Netherlands. Franchise is a new model for the company, which wants to proceed step by step. The retailer does already plan new openings: cities like Lille, Metz, Nancy and Strasbourg are on its wish list for 2026. Paris is not yet on the cards, due to rents being too high.
With this opening, Dille & Kamille now has 53 shops: there are also 28 in the Netherlands, 15 in Belgium and nine in Germany.
