After announcing the most successful financial year of its existence, Danish chain Søstrene Grene now wants to accelerate its international expansion.

Aim: 500 stores

In its latest financial year (ending 30 April), Søstrene Grene managed to increase sales by 22 % to 293 million euros, while profit before tax went up 15 % to 28.5 million euros. This is the strongest financial result in the company’s history, CEO and co-owner Mikkel Grene says.

The CEO praises his company’s quality, durability and stylish designs, saying that delivering those at affordable prices has strengthened its position in the market. The retailer now wants to take advantage of this momentum to substantially expand its store network. Currently, Søstrene Grene has more than 300 shops in sixteen countries, but sixty new ones will be added before the year is over. By the end of 2027, the chain aims to have 500 shops.
