This is how every customer journey becomes frictionless: how CCV ensures payments in the supermarket run seamlessly

(Advertorial) In a retail world where convenience and speed are crucial, customers expect every interaction to run smoothly. Especially when it comes to payment. From a quick coffee to a full week’s worth of groceries or a home delivery: consumers want a consistent, seamless experience, wherever and whenever they pay. With CCV’s payment solutions, that becomes a reality.

We follow Emma on a typical shopping trip and discover how CCV’s technology sets the standard for convenience and efficiency at every stage of her journey.

A fresh start with coffee: pay straight away without any hassle

As soon as Emma walks into the supermarket, she first gets her cappuccino from the self-service coffee machine. She taps her debit card on the CCV IM30, the robust Android-based self-service payment terminal.

Within a few seconds, the payment is complete. Completely contactless, secure and cash-free.

The result: a smooth start to her shopping trip.

Effortless shopping with self-checkout

With her coffee in hand, Emma continues her way through the shop. At the self-checkout, she scans her items at her own pace. Paying is just as quick, thanks to the CCV Nexus Pad A35.

Here’s why:

  • The Android-based PIN pad integrates seamlessly with the self-checkout system
  • Emma chooses her own payment method: contactless, by PIN or via mobile
  • A single tap is all it takes to pay

Simplicity, speed and freedom of choice – exactly what customers expect.

Flexibility at the till: the same familiar experience

Outside, Emma realises she’s forgotten something. She walks back in and sees that a manned till has just become free. Perfect for that one extra item.

The till assistant scans her item and, on the same CCV terminal, Emma can once again choose how she wants to pay: contactless, by debit card or via her digital wallet. A consistent experience throughout the shop.

Within seconds, everything is sorted. The experience remains consistent, wherever she pays.

Large home deliveries: pay on delivery

Later that day, Emma receives a parcel at home. Payment is made on delivery, via the delivery driver’s Android handheld device using CCV SoftPOS.

No extra hardware, no hassle. His handheld device is the payment terminal.

Emma swipes her card, and the transaction is processed immediately.

For retailers, this means:

  • less equipment
  • lower costs
  • maximum flexibility in the last mile

For customers? Simply a smooth experience right to the front door.

One customer journey, one reliable partner

Whether customers are picking up a coffee, scanning their own items, paying at the till or paying at home: CCV ensures a consistent, secure and frictionless payment process at every stage of the shopping journey.

Fewer new supermarkets in Belgium; more discount stores, cosmetics, and restaurants

Although supermarket expansion in Belgium is slowing down, the retail leasing market remains dynamic, with very active non-food discount chains, a few notable international newcomers, and growing foodservice concepts in the first half of the year.

Bavo Vanhalst (Dreambaby, Supra Bazar): “Together, we can achieve so much more, without all becoming the same”

Supra Bazar’s megastores have been a household name in West Flanders for decades, but the family-owned business now appears determined to make a name for itself beyond the province’s borders. Under the Vanhalst Retail Group umbrella, the retail company now also includes Dreambaby, Kabine, and Qiddo—and its ambitions don’t stop...
