Last year, consumers spent 1.33 billion euros on online purchases from Belgian webshops in December. This is according to an analysis by Becom, the Belgian e-commerce federation. This means that the festive month leaves other commercial peak periods behind: in January, traditionally the sales month, and in November, with Black Friday as the highlight, total online spending is on average 15 to 56 million euros lower.
