The German non-food discounter TEDi tday opens its 42nd Belgian location today at Shopping Cora Anderlecht. The Action challenger also has ambitious growth plans at the European level.
Goal: 5,000 stores in Europe
The new store in Anderlecht will open its doors on Friday, October 16, in the shopping complex that was formerly home to Cora. Customers will find a wide range of home decor, household items, office supplies, hobby items, toys, and seasonal products. According to the discounter, 5,000 items are permanently available for one euro or less.
With the opening in Anderlecht, TEDi is expanding its Belgian store network to 42 locations. The chain, which was founded in Germany in 2004, now has more than 3,500 stores in fifteen European countries and aims to increase that number to 5,000 locations in the medium term. The chain promises to give its Dutch competitor, Action, a run for its money.
