Look towards the future

During two days, international experts and top managers convened in Berlin to talk about the current retail situation, upcoming trends and possible challenges. Managers from Euronics, Amazon, Dixons and many others were able to exchange ideas with people from Samsung, Sony, Panasonic and so forth, allowing to gain information from each other’s experiences.

Participants were asked to vote on crucial matters concerning the future of the industry, revealing that more than 80 % was optimistic about sales in the upcoming year, while more than 60 % feels the market won’t fully recover for another 2 years. The future of retail stores seems grim, as more than 50 % believes they will decline, which may force them to research new in-store shopping experiences.

“The post-event feedback from attendees of the 1st European TCG Retail Summit has been extremely positive. More than 90% of the participants expressed that it is likely or very likely to attend the 2nd Conference next year as well”, Chris Buecker, founder of the European TCG Retail Summit, stated, and promptly added that the 2nd Pan-European TCG Retail Summit will take place at the end of April 2015.
