Amazon‘s European retail and marketplace activities have published their first results since the merger of the two divisions. The online giant blames high investments for the net loss of 290 million euros.
Net loss
Since the middle of last year, Luxembourg-based Amazon EU Sarl has been bundling retail activities from European countries including Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland and the United Kingdom. For the first time since then, the company has published full-year results: net sales amounted to 70.5 billion euros, German trade magazine Lebensmittel Zeitung reports.
