Supermarket company Spar opened its first two Albanian supermarkets, thanks to a collaboration with Balfin Group, a company with more than 10 years of experience in the Albanian supermarket industry.
More than 100 stores planned
In 2005, the Balfin Group operated its first Albanian supermarket and now it manages 15 Euromax stores, which will all be transformed into Spar stores soon. On 7 October, it added two more supermarkets, one in Tirana East Gate and another in QTU shopping center.
However, the collaboration will not stop at the transformation of these 15 stores, because Balfin and Spar want to have 100 supermarkets and 10 hypermarkets by the end of 2017, making it the country’s largest retail store network.
With Albania on the list, Spar is now active in 44 countries and it operates more than 12,100 stores worldwide, generating a 33 billion euro turnover.
