Alexandros Boussis, who will take over as head of supermarket chain Delhaize in Belgium and Luxembourg in January, has announced changes to the composition of the executive committee.
“Building on strong foundations”
Following the announced departure of current CEO Xavier Piesvaux, who will hand over the reins to Alexandros Boussis on January 1, 2026, Delhaize is making several changes to the composition of its Executive Committee.
Newcomers (but familiar names at Delhaize) are Aude Mayence as SVP Marketing, Digital & e-commerce, Raphael Gentile as VP Sourcing & Replenishment, Jonathan Hertog as VP Commerce, Merchandising & Quality, and Sylvie Dugardyn as VP Legal, Ethics & Compliance.
The Executive Committee also consists of Alexandros Boussis (CEO), Illya Van den Borre (SVP Human Resources & Corporate Affairs), Johan Ideler (SVP Logistics & Supply Chain), Chloë Thoelen (Chief Finance and Strategy Officer), and Raffael Li Preti (SVP Retail Operations & Real Estate).
“With this renewed Executive Committee, we are even stronger to consolidate Delhaize’s position as a major player in the retail market in Belgium and Luxembourg. Finally, I would like to once again express my sincere gratitude to Xavier Piesvaux for the eight successful years he has led Delhaize in challenging circumstances. We will continue to build on Delhaize’s existing strong foundations,” said Alexandros Boussis, future CEO of Delhaize.
