Delhaize appoints Alexandros Boussis successor of CEO Xavier Piesvaux

Delhaize has appointed Alexandros Boussis as its new CEO, succeeding Xavier Piesvaux on 1 January. Boussis is currently SVP Commerce & Marketing and as such he has brought a new dynamic to Delhaize’s commercial policy.

Leaving a franchising operation

Boussis has been with Delhaize for fourteen years, mainly in financial positions, and is currently Senior Vice President of that department. He has also been a member of the chain’s executive committee in that capacity since 2019.
