With a new distribution centre for e-commerce, Belgian supermarket chain Delhaize aims to become the market leader in click&collect.

Doubling capacity

The new distribution centre in Forest, Brussels, allows Delhaize to double its e-commerce capacity from 25,000 to 50,000 orders per week. Delhaize’s e-commerce sales have grown by double digits in each of the past five years, e-commerce manager Jennifer Nemry says. “Today, we have to refuse orders, because our distribution centre in Puurs is at full capacity.”
