Carrefour Argentina launches express delivery service Bringo

Carrefour has launched its express delivery service Bringo in Argentina. A new e-commerce app offers a fast delivery service as well as a personalised experience and special discounts in participating stores.

Personal assistant

Initially, Bringo will only be available in Carrefour stores in the centre of Buenos Aires. Eventually, the service will be extended to other districts in the Greater Buenos Aires region and other retail outlets, such as pharmacies, food caterers, pet stores, fast food outlets, cafes and stores selling clothing and electronics.

“With the launch of Bringo, we are offering our customers one more purchasing channel combining speed, assortment and attractive promotions. And this is the first app to allow interaction between a personal assistant and the customer, who can give their personal assistant special instructions when completing their order”, says Leonardo Arcas, director of sales and e-commerce at Carrefour Argentina.

Innovative features

Bringo also offers some other innovative features. For example, customers can add items to their shopping basket by simply scanning products in their fridge or pantry. Those products can be delivered immediately (within 60 minutes) or at a later time.

The delivery platform was launched in Romania in 2016, and Bringo and Carrefour have been partners ever since. The supermarket chain has systematically built up its stake in the company, and is now for the full 100 % owner of the app since the end of September.
