Ahold Delhaize wants to continue with CEO Frans Muller

Ahold Delhaize intends to reappoint Frans Muller as president and CEO next year. Muller has been leading the merged company since July 2018 and can present good results.

“Continue building on strengths”

The Supervisory Board plans to propose the reappointment of Frans Muller as president and CEO to the General Meeting of Shareholders on 12 April 2023, the retailer announced in a press release. “Since he started in this role in July 2018, the company has continued to build on its strengths. Under Frans’ leadership the Leading Together strategy was introduced, which increased its ability to better serve its customers”, stated chairman Peter Agnefjäll.

Frans Muller became President and CEO of Ahold Delhaize on 1 July 2018. Before that, he served as Deputy CEO and Chief Integration Officer for two years. Prior to Ahold Delhaize, he was CEO of Delhaize Group.
