After seven years, Adem Doymaz steps down as CEO of Scapino. The Dutch footwear and fashion retailer expects to announce within two weeks how leadership will be structured for the coming period.
Immediate departure
Doymaz is stepping down as CEO of Scapino effective immediately. Under his leadership, the retailer continued to grow in recent years, and the chain reached the milestone of 200 stores. According to the company, Scapino now holds a strong position in the Dutch retail market.
“Scapino is a wonderful retail company with dedicated people and a strong market position. Over the past seven years, Adem has worked tirelessly for the company. We thank him for that,” says board member Henk Ziengs. “Building on this solid foundation, we look ahead with confidence and will continue to work together to build Scapino’s future.”
Scapino has not disclosed why Doymaz is leaving or who will succeed him. The existing management team will handle day-to-day operations for the time being. The retailer plans to provide clarity on future leadership within two weeks.
