Forty Dutch companies, including Zeeman and Sissy-Boy, are calling on the government to put an end to ultra fast fashion platforms such as Temu and Shein. They want an action plan against unfair imports and ask for consumer awareness campaigns.
Following the French example?
In an open letter, Dutch distributors and charity shops complain about the unequal competitive conditions created by the Chinese platforms, but also about the influx of piles of unusable clothing that often does not comply with European legislation. According to the letter, up to 95 % of the goods do not meet the required standards.
