Levi Strauss is selling its Dockers brand to Authentic Brands Group, the owner of brands such as Reebok and Quiksilver.
311 million dollars
Late last year, Levi Strauss had already announced that it wanted to sell Dockers to fully focus on its jeans brand Levi’s and its sportswear brand Beyond Yoga. Dockers only represents 5 % of the group’s sales.
Authentic Brands Group is paying 311 million dollars (270 million euros) for the brand, which is best known as a producer of chinos. That amount may end up higher, depending on the brand’s post-acquisition performance.
