[In the picture] DPT Antwerp opens sustainable flagship store

Belgian jewellery brand DPT Antwerp has opened a new flagship store with a Parisian flair in Antwerp’s medieval centre. The centrepiece is the ‘gift bar’, where customers can personalise gifts.

Organic shapes

Renowned design agency Malherbe Paris had previously designed shops for brands such as Dior Beauty and La Samaritaine in Paris. For DPT Antwerp, the agency designed an exclusive interior that showcases the brand’s diamond jewellery to full effect.

The store stands out with its colour combination of powder pink, olive green and opal white: warm tones that make customers feel at ease. The furniture combines straight lines with organic shapes that refer to the griffs in which diamonds are set. The most eye-catching element is the gift bar, where customers can have jewellery personalised and wrapped.

Sustainability is a theme here: the modular furniture pieces are easy to take apart and can be reused. The curtains are made of 78 % recycled plastic, the furniture is made of recycled wood, the visual merchandising tools are made of recycled PET and the floor is made of sustainable polyurethane.

Founders Edward Verté and Stephanie Wilms talk more about DPT Antwerp’s international expansion plans in this interview.
