About You is also experiencing disruptions due to the data breach at Ceva Logistics. Zalando’s subsidiary is relocating part of its logistics operations to other locations to minimize disruptions. Earlier, Bol, de Bijenkorf, Zalando, and Ace & Tate, among others, were found to have been affected.
To Other Distribution Centers
Two weeks ago, Ceva reported that an unauthorized party had gained access to part of its systems. Customer personal data was also compromised in the incident. It now appears that the incident also affected an About You distribution center managed by Ceva. The online retailer, which has been owned by Zalando since last year, has now partially relocated its operations elsewhere “to minimize potential disruptions.”
About You says it has informed potentially affected customers and notified the relevant authorities. According to the company, it immediately activated its security protocols and launched an investigation. However, About You has not disclosed how many customers may have been affected or what data was compromised.
At De Bijenkorf, customers can currently only order items online that are in stock at physical stores. The department store chain is working to fully restore its online store. Zalando also reported disruptions last week. In addition to retailers and online stores, ING and the Ajax soccer club are among the organizations dealing with the consequences of the breach.
