A hot summer and a growing number of people staying home have led to strong results for the DIY retailer Hornbach. The retailer is gaining market share in all of its European markets, including the Netherlands, and continues to invest in further growth.

Growing profits

The company had already announced three weeks ago that Hornbach’s net revenue in the first half of fiscal year 2026/27 (which ran from March 1 through August 31, 2026) had risen by 6% to 3.8 billion euros. Now the company has released its detailed, full results. These show, among other things, that online revenue grew by 8.6% to 485.8 million euros and accounted for 13.5% of total revenue.
