French perfume and cosmetics chain Sephora, part of luxury group LVMH, is entering a partnership with online fashion platform Zalando. The collaboration will make thousands of products from more than 300 exclusive brands available on the German platform.
Starting in Germany
The cooperation will start in Germany during the fourth quarter and will be extended to other countries from next year. “Beauty represents a huge and fantastic growth opportunity for us, as the online beauty market in Europe is still largely unexplored”, says David Schneider, co-CEO of Zalando. “We want to enable and inspire our customers to find the perfect choice of fashion and beauty in one place.”
