Web shop vidaXL has announced the construction of a 100,000 sqm distribution center in Venlo and at the same, its web shop network will be opened for other parties.
Rapid international growth
The new distribution center should help vidaXL execute its rapid international growth ambitions. Currently, it is active in 29 countries, but that should increase once its new distribution center is finished. It will double vidaXL’s current capacity and turn it into the Netherlands’ largest eCommerce distribution center.
More than 60,000 orders are due to be processed and shipped to every European country every day. If everything goes according to plan, the distribution center should be fully operational by the end of the year.
To speed up its expansion even more, the platform has been opened to third parties as well which should give customers even more choice, up to 1 million items in the near future.
VidaXL focuses on furniture and garden equipment, DIY, household appliances, toys, welness and fitness items, from both name brands and its own private labels. The chain does everything, from the development to the shipping when it comes to its own private brands.
