Tech for Retail 2026: at the heart of retail transformation

Uncategorized13 October, 2026

(Advertorial) On November 30 and December 1, Tech for Retail returns to Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. For its 6th edition, the event will bring together the retail ecosystem around more than 420 exhibitors, including over 75 startups and over 200 conferences.

Retail is entering a new phase. Agentic AI, new uses of LLMs, retail media, unified commerce, hyper-personalization and supply chain automation: technologies and new use cases are multiplying and changing the way the industry operates.

These developments will be at the heart of Tech for Retail’s 6th edition, taking place on November 30 and December 1 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. For two days, retailers, experts, startups and exhibitors will come together to explore the latest innovations shaping the industry.

Insights from retail leaders and real-world feedback

To explore these topics in greater depth, Tech for Retail will also bring together several leading figures from the European retail industry for keynote sessions, including:

  • Alexandre Bompard, Chairman and CEO of Carrefour
  • Nadine Graf, President Europe, UK & Ireland & Emerging Markets, The Estée Lauder Companies
  • Delphine Viguier-Hovasse, Chief Innovation & Prospective Officer and member of the Executive Committee, L’Oréal Groupe
  • Sylvain Munnier, Managing Director France & Iberia, Lego
  • Mikko Kärkkäinen, Co-founder and CEO, RELEX Solutions
  • Jean Richard de Latour, Chief Executive Officer, Tom&Co

Their sessions will form part of a programme of more than 200 conferences, open to all visitors, exploring the major trends and challenges shaping the retail industry.

Solutions for today’s retail challenges

The exhibition gives visitors the opportunity to discover the solutions and technologies developed to address today’s retail challenges: customer knowledge and personalization, commercial performance, in-store experience, payments, data, supply chain, retail media and unified commerce.

The Startup Village will offer another perspective, bringing together more than 75 young companies working on emerging technologies and new use cases. A highly dynamic space for discovery and exchange, the Village will showcase startups under three years old presenting their solutions and sharing their vision of retail. An opportunity to discover new approaches and identify innovations that could shape the way the industry operates.

AI moves from experimentation to real-world use

Among the key themes running throughout this year’s edition, artificial intelligence will have a particularly prominent role.

Agentic AI and autonomous assistants, new uses of LLMs, marketing in the age of intelligent agents, and the use of AI in procurement and negotiation will all be explored. The programme will also examine AI’s impact on customer experience, operations, decision-making and the physical store.

The challenge is now to identify where and how AI can create value — an issue that concerns every sector.

From inspiration to solution discovery

Tech for Retail is also offering a wide range of formats to provide visitors with an increasingly engaging and personalized experience.

Thematic guided tours will offer dedicated journeys focused on specific topics, including:

  • The augmented salesperson: Clienteling, AI copilots and mobility
  • Agentic Commerce & GEO: Visibility in a clickless world
  • New revenue streams: retail media, services and second-hand
  • Connected Store Tour: in-store retail media, sustainability and emotional signals
  • HQ productivity: AI agents, no-code and support functions
  • Omnichannel hyper-personalization & unified commerce
  • Augmented supply chain & warehouse: from predictive AI to robotics

These tours make it easier for participants to identify the solutions most relevant to their business challenges and connect directly with exhibitors.

Personalized guided tours will also be available for large retail groups, with routes built around their specific challenges and areas of interest, helping facilitate conversations and meetings with exhibitors. In total, more than 80 guided tours will take place over the two days, giving participants the opportunity to explore the solutions and innovations most relevant to them.

A place to observe the evolution of the market

Beyond exhibitors and conferences, Tech for Retail also offers a range of activities designed to encourage interaction and showcase initiatives from across the industry. Pitch Innovations, the Awards, the Podcast Corner and 1TO1 meetings will give visitors the opportunity to discover new projects, share real-world experiences and engage directly with the various players shaping retail.

This dimension is taking on a new scale in 2026 with Tech for Retail joining the Easyfairs group. With more than 200 professional events worldwide, the group aims to support the event’s international development and strengthen its connections with European innovation ecosystems.
