Jumbo kicks off cooperation with Gorillas in Antwerp

Flash delivery company Gorillas now delivers Jumbo products in Antwerp. The strategic partnership between the two players will also soon be rolled out in various Dutch cities.

Users of the Gorillas app in Antwerp can now order products from Jumbo and have them delivered within minutes. The range includes both well-known A-brands and products from the Jumbo private label and from La Place. This is the first concrete result after the announcement earlier this year of the strategic partnership between Gorillas and Jumbo. In time, Gorillas will also start offering Jumbo products in several Dutch cities.
 

“Our cooperation with on-demand delivery company Gorillas does justice to the lightning-fast service of this young company. After all, there are less than four weeks between the announcement of our partnership and this first concrete result”, says Jumbo’s financial director Ton van Veen.

“In the past two years we have opened 17 Jumbo stores in Flanders and we are continuing to expand our network. Our focus is primarily on physical shops; online is a next step. But thanks to the partnership with Gorillas, we can now further accelerate our presence in Flanders, also digitally.”
