Les Grands Prés

Eurocommercial, the Dutch real estate group that already owns Woluwe Shopping in Belgium, has acquired the Les Grands Prés shopping center in Mons for 265 million euros. The owner plans to seek synergies between the two complexes.

Strengthening the mix

Les Grands Prés houses more than 100 stores across 27,000 m², has an occupancy rate of 97%, and attracts more than 6.5 million visitors annually. According to experts, the purchase price is rather low given the shopping center’s success, reports the business newspaper De Tijd. The shopping center was owned by the German investor Union, which is under pressure from investors. Adjacent Carrefour and IKEA locations on the same site are not included in the transaction.
