Clothes made from beer: Inditex and MIT give brewery waste a second life as textiles

Inditex is launching a research project in collaboration with MIT and the University of A Coruña to convert waste from the beer industry into new sustainable textile materials. The initiative aims to promote circularity in the fashion industry.

From beer waste to clothing

The project is funded through the MIT-Spain Inditex Circularity Seed Fund and is part of a collaboration between MIT and Spanish universities to develop sustainable solutions for fashion. Since 2017, this program has supported joint projects focused on technology, innovation, and sustainability.
