Customers can once again order the full product range from De Bijenkorf and have it delivered. The department store had temporarily limited its product selection and delivery times following a security incident at one of its logistics partners.
Investigation is still ongoing
De Bijenkorf’s online store is fully operational again, the department store chain announced in a press release. Following a cyberattack on logistics partner Ceva Logistics, only products in stock at the stores could be ordered online since the beginning of this month. That issue has now been resolved. Customers can place orders again, and the retailer is processing previously placed orders in stages, starting with the customers who have been waiting the longest.
“Our logistics partner has conducted an extensive investigation over the past few weeks and commissioned additional research by an independent party,” according to De Bijenkorf. “As a result, measures have been taken to ensure the security and reliability of the systems.”
The investigation into the data involved in the incident is still ongoing. “We therefore cannot yet say with certainty whether our customers’ personal data was involved. As soon as new information becomes available, we will inform our customers.”
