Persistently weak consumer confidence continues to plague the German beauty company Beiersdorf. The multinational now even expects a slight decline in revenue for the full fiscal year.
“Investing in Nivea”
Beiersdorf is facing a significant decline in demand in its consumer division. In the first half of the fiscal year, organic revenue fell by 3.5% to 4.95 billion euros. In nominal terms, the decline was 4.5%. Adjusted operating profit fell from 836 million euros in the previous year to 768 million euros. The adjusted operating margin (EBIT) was 15.5%, compared to 16.1% a year earlier. As a result, the group remains below expectations.
