Walmart is expanding drone delivery to 150 additional locations this year. By 2027, there should be a network of 270 locations, from Los Angeles to Miami. The rollout builds on strong results in Dallas and Atlanta.
Ready for the cities
Wing, Google’s sister company that delivers packages by drone, is further scaling up its partnership with Walmart—including to major cities such as Los Angeles, Miami, St. Louis, and Cincinnati. With the new rollout, the partners ultimately want to serve approximately 10% of the U.S. population, representing some 40 million consumers.
